Macadam Europe cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (the improvement of) our services and handle with care the information we have collected about you and your use of our services.
We do not use your personal information for commercial purposes. Under no circumstances will you receive information via the e-mail address you have provided, except for information relating to our inspection service as determined by our Clients. Your personal information will not be sold or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Macadam Europe. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 30/09/2020, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions will expire. This privacy policy describes what data is collected about you by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions, if any, this data can be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

Overview personal data
Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:
- first and last name
- title of address
- address information (company or inspection address)
- telephone number
- company number
- email address
Retention of data
We are contractually obliged to keep your data for a certain period of time. This retention period is determined by our Clients as follows:
- storage of the data: for 3 years after the inspection
- data encryption: from the 3rd to the 5th year
- deletion of data: after 5 years
- recording of telephone calls: for 120 days.
During this period, all your data will be stored in a secure and protected environment. Your data will in no way be disclosed, transferred to third parties or used for commercial purposes.
Web shop software
Ecwid
Our webshop is developed with software from Ecwid. Personal data that you make available to us for our services is shared with this party. Ecwid has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Ecwid is obliged to take appropriate security measures on the basis of the agreement we have concluded with them. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Ecwid uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Ecwid reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of companies in order to further improve its services.
E-mail and mailing lists
ActiveCampaign
Our website uses ActiveCampaign, a third party that handles e-mail traffic from our website and the sending of any newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent through ActiveCampaign’s servers. ActiveCampaign will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email that is sent automatically through our website you will see the ‘unsubscribe’ link. If you click this link you will no longer receive e-mail from our website. This can seriously reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data will be stored securely by ActiveCampaign. ActiveCampaign uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. ActiveCampaign reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and to share information with third parties as part of this process.
Office365
We use the services of Office365 for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.
Payment processors
Pay.nl
For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop we use the Payment Service Provider Pay.nl. Pay.nl processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Pay.nl has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. Pay.nl reserves the right to use your information to further improve its services and in that context (anonymized) data to share with third parties. Pay.nl shares in the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility) personal data and order data with post-payment service providers. All the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the components of Pay.nl ‘s services for which it engages third parties. Pay.nl stores your data no longer than permitted by law.
Reviews
We collect reviews through the platform of Macadam.eu. If you leave a review through Macadam.eu you are required to provide your name, place of residence and email address. Macadam.eu also publishes your review on its own website. In some cases Macadam.eu may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. Macadam.eu has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. All the above guarantees with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the components of the service.
Invoicing and accounting
Dynamics
For keeping our administration and bookkeeping we use the services of Dynamics. We share your name, address and residence details and details regarding your order.
These details are used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data will be sent and stored in a protected manner. Dynamics is obliged to secrecy and will treat your data confidentially. Dynamics will not use your personal data for other purposes than those described above.
Purpose of data processing
General purpose of processing
We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you provide. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you – other than at your request – at a later time, we ask your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to secrecy on the basis of the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data that are automatically collected by our website are processed for the purpose of further improving our services. These data (e.g. your IP address, web browser and operating system) are not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
Where applicable, Macadam Europe may be required by law to share your data in connection with governmental tax or criminal investigations. In such a case we will be forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities offered to us by law.
Retention periods
We keep your data as long as you are our customer. This means that we will keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also take this as a forgetting request. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we need to keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs. Employees, however, no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in response to your order.
Your rights
Pursuant to applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with respect to the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we only send copies and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep records of processed requests; in the event of a forgetting request, we administer anonymised data. You will receive all statements and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You can make a request to that effect to dpo@macadam.eu for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data with an overview of the processors that hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data, at the e-mail address known to us.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you, modified at any time. You can make a request to that effect to dpo@macadam.eu for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been modified at the e-mail address we have on file.
Right to restrict processing
You always have the right to limit the data that we process (or have processed) relating to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to dpo@macadam.eu for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to transferability
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relate to your person or that can be traced back to you, executed by another party. You can make a request to that effect to dpo@macadam.eu for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties at the e-mail address known to us. In all probability, we will no longer be able to continue to provide the service in such a case because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right of objection and other rights
If applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of a. If you object, we will immediately cease the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies and/or copies of the data that we process (or have processed) available to you and discontinue the processing on a permanent basis thereafter. The cookies allow us to display advertisements on external sites; Advertising networks (including Google AdSense / Google Ads) that advertise on external sites may place cookies or use web beacons to collect information. www.app.macadam.eu has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third party advertisers. Changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy affects the way in which we process data already collected about you, we will notify you by e-mail.
